The land used is actually army training grounds. The scenic grounds are undulating and a mixture of dirt trails and grass areas. The bike route will be 2 laps of a 10k loop over varied terrain but all rideable. No big puddles or bogs!
The entry fees are;
Earlybird entry-£35 per person until 31st of January
Standard enrty-£40 per person until 30th September
Late entry-£45 per person from 1st October.
Timing chips will be issued on race day from the information marquee. The timing chips MUST be worn around the ankle for your time to register.
RACE INFORMATION DOCUMENT/RACE PACKS
Please collect your number, bike number and timing chip on the day from the Information marquee located within the start / finish. Race Information will be emailed to you two week prior to the event.
HOW TO GET THERE
From London – Leave the M3 at junction 4a signposted Farnborough A327. At the roundabout turn left signposted London / Reading. At the next roundabout, take the first exit signposted Reading A327. The race site is a mile up this road on the right signposted Hawley Lake. Just follow the race signs to the car park.
From the south – Leave the M3 at junction 4a signposted Farnborough A327. At the roundabout, take the second exit, A327 towards Reading. The race site is a mile up this road on the right signposted Hawley Lake. Just follow the race signs to the car park.
From the A30 – take the A327 signposted London at Blackbushe Airport. Follow the road for about two miles and the race entrance will be on your left.
There are plenty of parking spaces available at the site.
If you wish to leave your car keys somewhere secure, please take them to the information marquee where they will be tagged with your race number. All keys will be kept secure for you to collect after the race. You must have your race number with you to collect your keys.

Helmets are compulsory and MUST be worn throughout the cycle section of the event.
The terrain is off-road and competitors have had punctures in previous years. Please ensure your tyres are in good order and correctly inflated. Might we suggest using puncture resistant tyres for this event?
This is a challenge event and competitors are expected to repair their own bikes. We recommend carrying spare inner tubes and a bike repair kit.
There will be an information marquee within the start / finish area.
We cannot fully guarantee the security of your bag. Given that you will be able to drive right up to the start / finish area, we feel it is safer if you lock all kit and valuables in your vehicle.
Men and Women’s changing marquee will be available. You should arrive in your running clothes but please bring another complete set of warm clothing with you. Do not go home in any wet clothing. Please note, there are no showers.
WHAT TO WEAR?
Your choice of competitive clothing is a personal one but hopefully you’ll have a good idea of what you’re going to wear for both the run and on the bike. If a complete beginner, you may wish to consider wearing synthetic clothing both T-shirt or long sleeve shirt, and some running tights on your legs. The materials should ideally wick away sweat and dry quickly when wet. Remember, cotton gets heavy when wet.
Off-road running shoes would be ideal for the terrain but if not, normal road shoes.
TIMING AND RESULTS
Our staff will time the event and the results will be posted on the website as soon after the race as possible on Saturday 31st October. Please review the results and contact the event team of any discrepancies before 5pm on Tuesday 3rd November 2015 after which point the results will be deemed final and all team prizes will be sent out to the winning teams.
Medical support will be present on the course and within the Start / Finish areas. You should be relatively fit and have no known medical conditions that would place your health in danger. Please note – do not compete with a cold or flu. This can be extremely dangerous.
Please seek expert medical advise if you have any health concerns prior to the race.
