Grim Duathlon

F.A.Q

What is the GRIM Duathon

The GRIM Duathon is a great new team event that takes place on the army vehicle testing area.

Is there a race limit?

We will cap the event at 1000 competitors as this is the first year of the GRIM Duathlon

How do I apply?

Enter online by clicking the button on the right-hand side of any page or by clicking here.

Age limit?

Competitors must be 17 or over.

Race packs

Will be mailed out from September 1st. If you move house between entering and the mailout, please tell us. Why not get your race pack sent to your work address?

My friends have received their race numbers but I haven't got mine.

Drop us a line and we'll look in to it. If necessary, we'll re-issue a number

Lost number?

Contact us immediately.

Ill or injured?

You should not run if ill or injured for your own safety. You cannot give your number to someone else in your place. This is for insurance reasons.

Refunds

Like all events, entry fees are used to hire land, equipment etc. Therefore, we do not issue refunds after entry.

How fit do you need to be?

GRIM Duathlon is as hard as you want to make it. It might be serious for those up front but for many, it'll be a challenge and a lot of fun. Make sure you've done some training and can run at least 5 miles without stopping. Please ensure you've done some off-road mountain biking.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

The race starts at 10:30am. You should get there at 9am. This will leave enough time to get parked up and allows you enough time to use the loos.

Parking

There is plenty of parking available on-site. However, there is only 1 entry / exit in and out of the main car parking facility. Getting in to the venue and leaving the venue could be a little slow. We suggest chilling out – grab or bring some food with you and something hot to drink.

How many in a team?

Only teams of THREE are accepted in one of either three categories – Women Only, Men Only or Mixed (2 guys & 1 girl or 2 girls & 1 guy – up to you).

Do we compete together?

Yes, you must start and finish together. This is a great team event so stay together and help each other out

Team Numbers

These are sent to the Team Captain for distribution.

Team names

Can be anything – serious or funny. Please do not send in anything too obscene and remember, ‘Grim Reaper' is too obvious!

Results

Are recorded and posted on the site the next day. Prizes are awarded on the day.
